About me
I’m Will, a software engineer and engineering leader based in Florida. My career has taken me from founding a startup to building systems and leading multiple engineering teams.
How I got here
Founding a geosocial platform in 2009 brought me into software engineering. By 2012, it was my profession. Since then I’ve cofounded startups, worked with nonprofits, and taken on engineering and leadership roles across several industries.
Today I build systems that let agents take on engineering work, and I lead their adoption across teams. It draws on two parts of my career: building software and enabling engineers to do their best work together. See more about this on the Work page.
Podcast appearances
In July 2022, I appeared on Knoxville Bitcoin’s Hard Money, Hard Knox for an episode with Cascadia Bitcoin.
Life outside engineering
I’m a husband and father of two. I enjoy sailing and cooking, and I’m interested in economics, digital rights, and privacy. My blog follows these interests too, from boat projects to keeping my notes under my own control.
